The needle from Hafslo

The hike to Setålen is an intermediate hike, suitable for both adults and children.
It takes about 1.5 hours from the starting point, Galden on Hafslo, to the top. Great views of the Lustrafjord.
Setålen and Øvrabøstølen are spring cottages for Solvorn. Here you'll find mounds and farmhouses that testify to a versatile activity. At Øvrabøstølen there were seals, cowsheds, barns and pigsties. At Setålen there used to be four seals. Each of the main farms had fenced-in fields with barns.
In the past, the farm was moved to the Brimskår and Fjellstølen mountain caves in the summer, but it is a long time since these caves were in use. Today, there are few traces left in the landscape of these mountain caves.
